He's a Cowfish! I'd never seen one either, but this odd looking little fellow is quite real. He's about three inches long and looks more like the guys who make Slurm than a fish. Again taken at the NY Aquarium, and again it suffers a bit from highly distorting glass, but it's not that bad. He's pretty cute, really.

Heh, Slurm.

Yeah, that is an odd looking fellow. The distortion isn't incredibly noticable. The background goes into a lovely pastiche of colors.

This was definitely the best of the five or six shots I took of the little guy. And I didn't even notice the background until I was about to post it today. I love the lens I was using.

Thanks very much. It did take me several tries to get it quite right, but I think the end result was worth the people who were starting to get annoyed at me hogging up half his tiny tank. :)
